Overview
Your day will begin driving past the beautiful beaches of Mount Maunganui and Papamoa, two paradises that are considered among the best in New Zealand.
Weather permitting, drive up to the Minden.
Lookout for a breathtaking view of the Tauranga coastline, some amazing photographs are waiting to be taken.
Once you have arrived in Katikati you will be given the opportunity to join one of the regular guided tours (at a small charge) or you can roam around at your own pace enjoying the dozens of colorful murals that are painted across the walls of commercial buildings and down the streets.
Impressive sculptures, carvings, mosaics and tapestries are also on display across the town.
Take a break and enjoy a coffee or refreshment, if you wish, at one of the local cafes and take in the atmosphere of this small town.
Before you return to your cruise ship, take a brief trip to Sulphur Point or Kulim Park for a brilliant photo opportunity of your cruise ship with the iconic Mount Maunganui as the backdrop.
Your driver guide will then return you back to your cruise ship in plenty of time for your ships departure.
