Your day will begin driving past the beautiful beaches of Mount Maunganui and Papamoa, considered among the best in New Zealand.
Experience the splendor of the Rotorua Redwoods, a forest very well known for the network of mountain biking, walking and horse-riding trails. Here you can enjoy a peaceful stroll (walk is wheelchair friendly).
Drive on to two of Rotorua's 18 lakes, the sacred Blue and Green Lakes, a stunningly beautiful photo opportunity can be had here on a clear day, the lakes are nestled among the rolling green hills.
Visit New Zealand's only public geothermal park, Kuirau Park. Discover the steaming, hissing and boiling thermal springs and smell the mud pools, why not enjoy a free thermal foot bath while you are here?
Your driver guide will recommend some fantastic places to eat for lunch (not included in price of the excursion).
Once you have enjoyed a bite to eat, have your camera ready while you take a tour of the Rotorua lake front for when you see the unusual black swans, St Faith's Church, the Government Gardens and Rachel's pool.
Your driver will take you along a different route back towards Tauranga and weather permitting, drive up the Minden Lookout for a breath-taking view of the Tauranga coastline.
Before you return to your cruise ship, take a brief trip to Sulphur Point or Kulim Park for a brilliant photo opportunity of your cruise ship with the iconic Mount Maunganui as the backdrop.
Your driver guide will then return you back to your cruise ship in plenty of time for your ship’s departure.

Please be aware, he is not a guide but is able to provide informative commentary during travel. This excursion can accommodate passengers with limited mobility or passengers using wheelchairs/mobility scooters in wheelchair adapted vehicles.
