Overview

Your guide will meet with you at Valletta port and will then escort you to the capital city of Valletta. Here you will be able to see the bustling streets and the architectural buildings of this unique city.

Your tour continues with a visit to the Barraca Gardens which are located in an elevated position overlooking the Grand Harbor and the three cities, the panoramic views from here are superb.

St John's Cathedral is your next stop where you will have the opportunity to admire the Baroque architecture as well as the superb works of art.

From here, continue on to visit the Grand Master's Palace. This Magisterial Palace was the official residence of the Grand Master of the Order. Today it is home to the President of Malta as well as the Maltese Parliament.

After visiting Valletta you will travel inland to discover the old capital city of Mdina - which is in the centre of the island. Here, you will have free time to enjoy lunch (not included in tour) and your surroundings.

Following lunch, take a short stroll around the narrow winding streets that will lead you to the area of St Paul's Catacombs and Grotto. Mdina is a walled city that was strategically built on high ground. The view from the bastions across the many miles of countryside is truly amazing.

There will be plenty of time to explore Mdina. This tour will conclude with a scenic drive back to the port of Valletta.

Please note:
Churches and cathedrals are closed to tourists on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. Therefore the order of itineraries may change according to the days of the week selecting. The Cathedrals are also closed on Mondays and Thursday. The order of the site visits can be changed at the discretion of the guide and subject to entrance timings.

All Heritage Malta Sites (most museums and sites) are closed on the following days: 24,25 and 31 December, 1 January and Good Friday.

Wear modest clothing; shoulder and knees to be covered, is required to enter churches in Malta.
