Overview
We start in the modern suburb of Barra at the mouth of the bay (All Saints Bay) with its famous lighthouse, where the bay and the Atlantic Ocean join together. Stop and visit outside.
Back in your vehicle, you will pass by the Dique do Tororó, where you can see the "Orixás Sculptures", by the Bahian artist Tati Moreno.
Then, proceeding to the upper City, towards the Pelourinho (old town), we start our walking tour at the Rio Branco Palace in the Tome de Souza square, one of the oldest palaces in Brazil. From there, you can admire the panoramic view of the Bay.
We continue our promenade on the cobblestone streets of this preserved colonial style site, a cultural heritage by UNESCO. Visit the Cathedral and the Sao Francisco church, with its gold leafed interior and Jacaranda wood furniture. Stop for tasting the drink icon of Bahia, coconut water. Then, you will have a quick stop for shopping. Then continue to "Largo do Pelourinho", a Salvador postcard.
